Spooky times are a coming! So if you’re a Halloween fanatic you’ll probably be looking forward to all things ghosts and ghouls. To help your fun along on the big night, here’s a simple 3D sculpt of a spooky ghost you can easily print, without any support material, in a fused-filament printer. It’s hollow, with a wall thickness around 1.5mm, so you can add an LED tealight through the hole in the base for some scary illumination in darkened places. Or, of course, you could just paint it with some spook-tastic effects.
Quick summary of this 3D creation
Overview: A hollow spooky halloween ghost that can be lit up with an LED tealight candle.
Software used: Nomad Sculpt, Meshmixer, Blender.
Intended use: 3D printing with fused-filament (no supports needed) or resin printers.
Download: Thingiverse page.
The model is very easy to print with fused-filament machines, as it should need no supports, and is around 100mm high. You can scale it larger or smaller of course, but the hole in the base is 40mm diameter to accommodate an LED tealight candle: obviously real-flame tealight candles would create some nice Halloween effects, but only until the model, and any surrounding buildings, quickly reduce to ashes! Here’s what the printed ghost looks like, with transparent PLA, in my 3D printer.
So there we have it, a spooky Halloween ghost that can be lit up, or painted to give some gory blood-splattered effects 🙂
